So far I love everything that KBilling has to offer it is simple but robust and easy to use. I first started using quickbooks but that was WAY overkill for what I needed. The problem I am having is e-mailing an invoice. I keep getting some kind of error saying something about "smtp error 530.5.7.0 ". If I could get this to work I would be STOKED!!!!! Help?

Hi Rob! Prepare to be stoked!
Your outgoing mail server probably requires authentication, and that is easy to set up.
Open kBilling, click Edit->Settings->Email Tab
Get with your ISP to find out what username and password you need to *send* mail, and enter it in the username/password fields on that window. Trial and error won't hurt anything so just try what you think your username/password and you could be emailing invoices right away!

Well, again I was overthinking the problem. I did exactly what you said and BAM! It worked. Great software. Looks like it worked just fine.

I have entered the correct information to set up my email, but I still cannot send email invoices. Has there been any problems when using gmail for this feature?

GMail requires encryption to send email externally (IE, not through their web page) and that isn't supported in kBilling.
You can still use your ISP's SMTP server with a From @gmail.com address -- the SMTP server is just used to send mail, not receive it.

do you know how I can find that information?

You'll need to call your ISP and ask (the cable company if you have a cable moden or the phone company if you have DSL).

I have called my cable provider and received the information for smtp and the port number. It still does not send out emails though.

Drop me an email at support@ksoftware.net and let me know what they told you to put in (I'd have you post it here but anyone can read it).
