I also have some character encoding issues.
I am trying to use Korean characters amongst primarily English text. With the default encoding, I can input Korean text in customer fields, but it shows up as symbols in the reports and invoice printouts.
I have tried EUC-KR, ISO-2022-KR, but no success.
When trying UTF-8 (unicode), I get the following error message (attached)
Hope you can help
cheers

Yes, the XML parser chokes on certain unicode characters (I've been testing here too!). I'm not sure if it is an MSXML parser problem yet or not.
I apologize that it is taking so long to get you a definitive answer!

So...any answers for us yet? We've been waiting a long while (I think that's my business partner above). My main issue now (we've got the html working with Korean) is only on the PDF's. We also want the PDF functionality but when it converts to PDF we lose all the Korean encoding. Thanks for any help and updates. OH. At least we aren't getting any error messages, so that's been nice.

As you probably have guessed, it's a UNICODE problem with the database. It's probably the hardest thing to test for here since entering Arabic text is exceptionally hard on a 102 key US keyboard.
Drop me an email at support@ksoftware.net and I'll get some more information from you to continue testing.

Well, I'm working with Korean, not arabic. Please note I"m also the same guy who had the bug with the 'new invoice' where all the Korean fonts messed up. Perhaps others are having the same issue.

Hey Wayne -- I don't think your issue is with the database since everything displays properly up to a point. I'm working on it!
