All of a sudden, I'm getting an error message when trying to open an invoice in PDF format. The initial preview window of the invoice opens fine (clicking "Preview [F5]" from the invoice screen, but from that preview window, when clicking "Open PDF," Adobe Acrobat (Professional, version 7.0.7) opens but displays the message "A drawing error occurred" and leaves me with a blank PDF file.

I've tried copying the kBilling file over to another computer that just has Adobe Reader on it as opposed to Acrobat Professional, but I still have the same issue. When turning off the invoice banner image in settings, and using just text, the PDF creates just fine. When switching back to the image (which hasn't changed at all in months), I get the error again. I'm running 1.3.88, which should be the latest version of kBilling.

The banner image I've been using has been the same JPG, but I've found that switching to a GIF corrects the problem. The image I'm using happens to be black and white, so using a GIF instead doesn't really make a difference to me, but it was a little frustrating until I figured this out. Any idea why all of a sudden JPGs cause problems with PDF invoices?

No idea at all. The PDF creation code hasn't changed in several years with kBilling and the JPEG format is very well supported. Can you email me a copy of the image that caused the trouble? I'll see if I can tell you more once I do some experiments here.
