Invoice Notes

Hi,

I got KBilling and I absolutely love it. There is just one 'glitch' ? that I cannot figure out. How to put Notes on my invoices.

There are 2 options for this - the Global Note Update, which is under the Invoices Tab under Edit and the Invoice Footer, which is under the Invoice Templates Tab.

Firstly, the Global Note Update has never worked for me. Where exactly is it supposed to show up?? I could never get it to post any of my notes anywhere on the Invoices.

Secondly, I was able to write a small message in the Invoice Footer line, but now I cannot change it. Well, I did change it, but I cannot get the NEW message appear on my invoices.

Also, with these 2 options for Invoice Notes, I thought that when I changed the message it would change it on all the invoices - including the old ones. Is this correct - or am I missing where the option is for that?

The "Global Note Update" should put anything in the notes box on every invoice - you're correct. Any change to the Invoice Footer should also show up on all invoices too -- but several invoice templates don't show the footer (the Tearsheet X templates specifically).

In the software the notes are on the tab labeled "Notes" at the bottom of the Invoice window (the set of tabs also includes Items, Payments, Attached Documents and Email Log). Where the invoice notes get printed depends on which invoice template you're using and now long the note is. If a note is too long to fit on the bottom of a single page invoice the entire note is printed on it's own page with the invoice.
