Not sure but I'm almost positive that I was able to view the Aging Past Due Report on Excel properly but for some reason after the fix I can't anymore.

It's showing as XML codes.

Did you recently reinstall office? Excel in Office XP+ should be able to open XML files.

I mean it directs me to EXCEL okay but all i see is this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<Report>
<Report_Title>Meta Dental Corp. Invoice Aging Report - 12-05-2006</Report_Title>
<Line30>
<InvoiceDate>11-01-2006</InvoiceDate>

That *should* get formatted by Excel. Can you find out which version you have?

Do other reports open in Excel OK?

Ok, I believe the first version that supported XML spreadsheets was XP (it came out right after 2000).

Upgrading Excel will do it. Any of the current versions available should be able to open XML spreadsheets.

but upgrading excel is not a posibility... we don't use it as much so it doesn't make any sence if we upgrade just to view the aging report. Only use the view in excel so i won't have to retype them again. and we only do the aging report once every 3 months to be updated on our unpaid invoices. how come i was able to view it last time though after the update of k-billing?

Are you sure you were able to view them before? Nothing has changed in the reporting system since the early 1.3 versions. I just verified it working here with Excel 2003.

Well I did view it in excel but I copied and paste it on excel. Sorry for the confusion.

thanks for the help...

Don't know but the Title Alignment of the Aging report on the part where is say More than 90 Days Past Due is not back to what it was again. The titles doesn't correspond to the correct column. You've already fixed it before.

In which version are you seeing the problem? If you can send me an example report I'll have a look (send it via email to support@ksoftware.net - don't post it here).

Strange.. I just compared the template shipped with .80 (and .79) and they're identical to the one shipped with .81.

Can you send me that example report? I need to see what alignment issue you're seeing.

Thanks!

but upgrading excel is not a posibility...

Use OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org), it's free.

Indeed OpenOffice.org is free and very good... Much better than MS crap.
However, I can't get mine to open XML files but this page on the OpenOffice.org website may be of help to you
