Paid Invoices

I don't know what's going on.... but lately most of the invoices we marked paid goes to 0.00 balance but the invoice still appear pending with a 0.00 balance remaining. so i use the "mark paid" quite often it's somewhat a hassel co'z it shows up on the past due invoices list. it says its pending but it's already been paid.

What steps are you using to post these payments? Opening up each invoice and adding payments that way, or posting to the customer?

Does it happen with all payment types, too?

well when paid with credit card its fine... but when checks its pending still but not on all payments today i have to double check all the payments made and so far i found about 5 invoices like that at first i thought they missed an invoice but then the balance is 0.00 so its already paid so i had to mark all of them paid.
