Encoding - special characters support

Hello

Kbiling just informed me about new 3.5 version, I happily proceeded to downloading and installation, but - ding:
"Your upgrade support has expired".

Before I decide should I purchase additional year of support or not, I would like to know if you have any plans at all to finally release version which supports international special characters.

1year ago I asked same question here:

and you answered that you have plans but don't have even rough ETA

So I'm asking whats current status with this?

Hello Hrvoje - plans, yes, but I can't get any more specific than that I'm afraid.

The problem is with the database driver that links the invoice templates to the database. It isn't Unicode compliant. The author of the driver has told me for 2 years that they're working on it and even though I should have known better, I passed that along here on the forum, assuming it was going to happen. I shouldn't have said anything until it was finished.

Another question - Kbiling now nags me about new available version every time I start it, even after I selected "Do not notify when updates are available" box.

I have 3.0.1 version installed.

Is it possible to disable this notification?

Still wondering how to disable notification about new Kbilling version when I start the program.

I selected "Do not notify when updates are available" option in misc tab in settings, but Kbilling still asks.
