View Full Version : IPPay - Recurring Invoices

I have a semi-annual payment ..................
It was a recurring invoice, I check Auto Charge Credit Card
It made the invoice and paid the invoice, but never went thru IP Pay~~~
They have no record of the payment ~ Is this a softwar Glitch?
Or did i do something wrong?
I have already talked to IP Pay (Megan) and was advised to notify you!!

Pull up the paid invoice, click the Payments tab at the bottom of the invoice window, then double-click the payment. At the bottom of the payment window you should see a button called View Transaction Log. Click it -- is there anything in the box that comes up?

I double click on the payment, I dont see "View Transaction Log"
I screen pops up called "Payment Auto-Pay" In the notes"AutoPay payment from recurring invoice 1004"

OK, void that payment, hit New Payment, select Credit Card and Post - it should charge the card then.
Now go find the customer's invoice in status Recur and double-click on it. Click the Recurring Settings tab, UNCHECK the "auto pay" box - or UNCHECK the "Mark invoice paid automatically". I changed the wording on that box so it might say one or the other depending on what version you're running. If checked kB won't charge a card, it just assumes payment has been made and marks the invoice paid automatically. Don't check that box for credit card payments.

I cannot auto charge CC for Recurring invoices, Correct?

Oh no no - you CAN charge cards!
Just remove that "auto pay" check on the Recurring Settings tab of the Invoice window. That box just marks an invoice paid without processing anything. Take that off, save, and you're golden. You'll still have to check the "Auto charge" box on the recurring invoices tab of the main window but it sounds like you're doing that already.
